Anum Irfan Khan is a PhD student at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto. Prior to starting her doctorate, Anum completed a M.Sc in Health Studies and Gerontology from the University of Waterloo and a B.A. in Public Health and Environmental Studies at Brandeis University.
Anum is interested in exploring how different models of primary care organization and delivery affect patient experience, health outcomes and health care utilization among individuals with multiple chronic conditions. Her broader researcher interests include exploring possible intersections between public health and primary care to better prevent and manage risk for chronic conditions, performance measurement in the primary care sector to inform future investments in primary care reform, and integrated care strategies targeting complex patients in the context of healthcare utilization.
